Running Over

 

CBN Asia asked the Lord of the Harvest for laborers to gather in His great harvest. He provided, both running over.

The Center received and made calls by the thousands. It received text messages, emails, letters and chatted with people online. It also sent text messages, and replied to your emails and letters.

These brought about thousands being led to Christ who were referred to church partners, of which are now being nurtured. CBN Asia also got new potential partners and some partnership reactivation. A quite number inquired and pledged to support the ministry monetarily. The Center also got thanksgivings for answered prayers.

As more people made a decision to receive Christ, the Center now has 20 additional volunteers while 10 more are currently undergoing the basic Prayer Center training.  Preparation for the CBN Prayer Center – Extension is also well under –way in its staffing and training.

It is essential for CBN Asia to seek out the help of local churches to nurture these new followers of Christ. As of March 2016, we have partnered with 8,382 churches, nationwide.

The Center’s grateful and desires to be faithful to His cause.

CBN Asia Prayer Center’s Answered Prayers

 

 

                                  “The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few;

therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”

 

As the Prayer Center continues to receive calls, text messages, emails, letters and chats online, it is imperative that the  Center would be able to respond to all of them.

True to His words, the Lord granted this very prayer of CBN Asia Prayer Center. He sent laborers  to help in the harvest. Eight had just finished the volunteer’s didactic training and on March 2016, twelve more will undergo the same training.

All these brought about people being led to Christ and referred to our church partners, of which they’re being nurtured.  February saw an increase of 47% in SMS, this stemmed to 26% surge in salvation – individuals by the thousands now belong to the Lord. The feedback we received were nothing but thanksgiving for answered prayers too.

This harvest was made possible by His gracious people who are willing to share the burden of seeking the lost.

 

 

Launch And Furtherance

 

New Year.

Two words that could mean a lot of things to a lot of people. It could be a new beginning, a clean slate to some. It could be a continuation, a building on previous endeavors that worked out right.

2016 to CBN Asia Prayer Center meant both, it’s a fresh start and a furtherance of what God has entrusted to its staff.

The CBN Asia Prayer Center continues to receive calls, text messages, emails, letters and chats online. The Center was able to respond to all of them.

These brought about people by the thousands being led to Christ and referred to our church partners, of which they’re being nurtured. CBN Asia also got new partners and partnership reactivation. The Center also received feedback of thanksgiving for answered prayers.

The New Year also meant challenges, to faith and commitment.

But we all serve the God who has promised that He who begun a good work in all us, will be faithful to complete it till that great day comes.

 

Tis’ the Season to be Jolly!

 

Cooler weather and festive decorations usher in the most wonderful time of the year. And in the Philippines, Christmas begins at the advent of September.

But the season could be a drag for some. The laughter, a facade for breaking hearts. Celebrations evoke hurts sometimes. A thousand and one reason to hinder them from reaching out to the One.

More than ever, it’s that time of the year that we get to point to the real reason for the season.

The CBN Asia Prayer Center received 7,559 calls, made 5,515 for a total of 13,074 calls. It received 87,039 text messages, 580 emails, 5 letters and chatted with 4,504 online. The Center also sent 349,371 text messages, and replied to 957 emails and letters.

These brought about 10, 439 being led to Christ with 1,224 referred to church partners, of which 20 are being nurtured. CBN Asia also got 256 potential new partners and 6 partnership reactivations. A total 216 of inquired and pledged to support monetarily. The Center also got 23 thanksgiving for answered prayers.

As for the staff, tis’ the season of reflection. The Lord had been gracious. Our lives, here and after, we offer solely to Him.

 

MORE THAN THESE

The CBN Asia Prayer Center received 7,804 calls, made 5,389 for a total of 13,193 calls. It received 84,383 text messages, 570 emails, 6 letters and chatted with 4,889 online. The Center also sent 342, 842 text messages, and replied to 1,219 emails and letters.

Numbers can be daunting sometimes. And these concerns can get even the best of a prayer counselor. But time and again, God reminds His servants, He’s still on top of things. His Word constantly prompts trust and obedience.

And He rewards those that choose to do so. Then these same numbers cause us all to praise.

These brought about 11,698 being led to Christ with 1,186 referred to church partners, of which 25 are being nurtured. CBN Asia also got 128 potential new partners and 3 partnership reactivations. A total 696 of inquired and pledged to support monetarily. The Center also got 20 thanksgiving for answered prayers.

Needs are met, illnesses are healed, worries replaced with peace and countless praise uttered in silence. Breaks and breakthroughs that have been granted, the list could be endless.

Now we give God thanks,

not because things have been made great,

but we were reminded,

A Bountiful Harvest

Extra hands to gather in a bountiful harvest must be celebrated.

On October, a 70% increase was noted of those being ushered to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. About 2, 000 were also referred to our church partners for their nurture of their new life in Christ.

Mauro accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior through the program. He is an avid viewer and loves the featured topics especially about marriage. They went through many trials but they are overcoming it because of the Lord.

Praise God also for two prayer counselors added to Makati Center and five volunteers to the Cebu Center.

The CBN Asia Prayer Center received 8,354 calls, made 6,398 for a total of 14,752 calls. It received 94,207 text messages, 1091 emails, 10 letters and chatted with 4,662 online. The Center also sent 378,665 text messages, and replied to 1,471 emails and letters.

These brought about 20,280 being led to Christ with 1,998 referred to church partners, of which 30 are being discipled. CBN Asia also got 118 potential new partners and 5 partnership reactivations. A total 217 of inquired and pledged to support monetarily. The Center also got 57 thanksgiving for answered prayers.

 

 

The Purpose of Christmas

It’s interesting that Jesus made a significant statement about His birth just before His death. During Jesus trial, Pilate asked about His identity. Jesus replied, “For this I have been born, and for this I have come into the world, to bear witness to the truth” (John 18:37b, NASB).

Jesus didn’t say He was born to preach or heal, but that His fundamental purpose was to bear witness to the truth.

Pilate then asked, “What is truth?” But he was in too much of a hurry to wait for the answer. How many of us are like that today? Sometimes it takes a tragedy, such as a death in the family or the recent terrorist attacks, before people take time to measure their lives against what is genuinely meaningful and true.

When a carpenter says, “I’m going to true up a piece of wood,” he lines up a board to conform with the standard of a plumb line. Opinions don’t count — only the truth.

Down through the ages, Jesus declares, “I am the way and the truth and the life. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free” (John 14:6a; 8:32).

Jesus came into the world bearing a message of paramount importance: God is our Creator, Sustainer and Redeemer; to see the Father, we must look at His Son.

The reason Jesus was born is that we might know God!

This is why we celebrate Christmas with such joy year after year. Through Jesus called “Emmanuel,” which means God with us, God is indeed with us in youth and old age, in good times and bad, in tragedy and triumph.

But in bringing us this wonderful message, Jesus goes a step further — and entrusts us with the tremendous responsibility of sharing Gods Word with others. “You will be My witnesses to the ends of the earth” (Acts 1:8b). Millions of lost souls desperately need the life-giving message of the Gospel!

When September Ends…

…because He is good.

September has come and gone for CBN Asia Prayer Center. The Center is happy to report the following; we received 7,876 calls, made 6,304 for a total of 14,180 calls. It received 81,657 text messages, 937 emails, 6 letters and chatted with 4,639 online.  The Center has sent 344,663 text messages and replied to 914 emails and letters.

These resulted to 11,955 being led to a saving knowledge of Christ, 801 of them referred to church partners, and 20 of them now being nurtured. CBN Asia also got 71 potential new partners and 2 reactivations. A total of 842 inquired and pledged to support monetarily. It also received 36 thanksgiving for answered prayers.

The survey to gauge customer satisfaction also continues. Just as it is fulfilling to know that the Center is meeting needs, one of the goals is to cater to more people. Respondents said they would recommend the Center to families and friends. One consider us his lifeline to God while another believed he is so blessed every time he was prayed over. Another caller referred us to her daughter while one gave our hotline numbers to his daughter’s boyfriend. Words that warm hearts and strengthen hands, ours.

Thanksgiving: Giving thanks

If we are to pause and think, would we be able to list our thanks?

Not Greater Than

“If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you.

If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.

Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also.

But all these things they will do to you for My name’s sake, because they do not know Him who sent Me.

If I had not come and spoken to them, they would have no sin, but now they have no excuse for their sin.

He who hates Me hates My Father also.

If I had not done among them the works which no one else did, they would have no sin; but now they have seen and also hated both Me and My Father.

But this happened that the word might be fulfilled which is written in their law, ‘They hated Me without a cause.‘
